Beo
(Longest Resident)
Hi my name is Beo. I am the longest resident at Applebrook. I was one of the first rescue dogs! When I was found as a stray in September 2005, I was very frightened and untrusting of people. I was on the road for awhile and did not like that was caught. After arriving at Applebrook, I realized it was a really nice place for me to retire out. They Treated all of my medical problems and feed me so much wonderful food. I get big bones and toys everyday and big comfy beds to sleep in! The staff and volunteers take such wonderful care of me! I get hugs every day and get to go run in the big field. Even though i am very happy here, the staff would love me to find a home of my own to retire my golden years in. Do you have room for an older dog like me?
Joanna (Longest Resident Cat)
Hi
My name is Joanna. I have been living in the office at Applebrook
since November 2006. I came in with all of my kittens who have since
found homes. The staff doesnt understand why I am stil here. I am
a very social girl that even likes to beg for food like a dog. I
would love to find a home for the Holidays. Please can I come home
with you?
Daisy and Lola
Hi My name is Daisy, I am a 13 year old 3 legged tortie cat that came in with my 3 year old sister Lola (black & white). Our owner moved and left us behind. We have been living at Applebrook since Nov 2006. Even though my sister and I love each other, we do not have to go to homes together. We both do great with both other cats and dogs. Will you come visit us?
Kia

Hi My name is Kia. I have been living at Applebrook since spring 2006. My owners did not have enough time for me so they surrendered me to the shelter in hopes of finding a new home. I am a very social girl that loves to play fetch and most of all get belly rubs. I really miss having a home for the holidays. I would love to snuggle up with my new family members old cold snowy nights. Please come play fetch with me and get to know me.
Sunshine
Hi my name is Sunshine. I came in on a hot summer day in June with my 3
newborn babies. Applebrook was nice enough to take me in from a high kill
shelter in Philly were my babies and I didnt have a chance. All of my babies
are doing so well in their new homes, but I am left behind. I still act
like a kitten myself but everyone always wants the little ones. Please
give me a chance, I have a great personality and would love to find a home
for Christmas.
Longest Residents
These animals have been waiting patently to find their new forever homes. All the staff and volunteers does not understand why these wonderful animals are still here. Can you give a long term animal a chance?
