Frequently Asked Questions About Our Adoption Process
Do you have hours to come visit animals?
Because many of our animals are in foster homes, we show our available
animals by appointment only. Once you submit an application a staff member
or volunteer will call you to set up a time to meet.
Why
Do I Have To Fill Out An Application Before meeting an Animal?
Our goal is to educate the community & help
adopters find a match that fits their lifestyle. By filling out an application
we
can help
you
to choose your new 4 legged friend. Even if you do not know what animal you
are interested in you can still submit an application.
Why
Do You Require Home Visits?
Do not stress out about having a home
visit done. The reason most rescues require home visits is to insure
you and your new family member have a stress free transition time.
It is a good time to ask questions to prepare for your new friend.
(where should i put a crate, what food i should feed, how ofter
should he/she go out...)
Why
is There An Adoption Fee For A Rescue Animal?
The adoption fee covers some of the cost for
vetrinary care and other expences while the animal is
in our care. We try to keep our adoption fee as low as possible.
How
Long Does The Adoption Process Take?
We do our best to make the adoption process
go as quickly and smoothly as possible. Usually the process can take
1-2 weeks depending on where you live. Please remember the rescue is
primarly made up of volunteers.
Do
You Adopt Out Of State?
We primarly do adoptions in the tri state area
(PA, DE, NJ), However you can still submit an application if you are in another
area.
Please email us if you have other questions that are not on this page. A volunteer or staff member would be happy to assist you.
